Want to Live Happy and Free Life, Here are some tips:
“If you spend your whole life waiting for the storm, you’ll never enjoy the sunshine.” -Morris West
Happiness is so interesting, because we all have different ideas about what it is and how to get it. Everybody loves to be happier, so it would be interesting to find some ways to become a happier person that is actually backed up by science. Here are some stupidly simple tips to live happy life:
Create a Plan for yourself:
Create a realistic plan for goals that you feel will make you happy. Sometimes it’s not about completing the goal, but the effort and hard work you put to get there. Hence, the harder you work the better you will feel about yourself because you will feel better about going after something you value. If it’s not valuable to you, It will not be worth it to work or make the sacrifice to achieve the goal.
Write out a short-list of the simple things that give you pleasure:
Keep them in the front of your consciousness and make sure you engage with them at least a few times a week. As you do these things, stay present and mindful of the joy they bring you.
Surround yourself with Positive People:
This is often the hardest part of being happy, acknowledging the people you hang around with may not best for you, choose to surround yourself with happy and positive people, and relationships who accentuates the goals you want to accomplish for yourself. If you are around people who are happy with their emotional state, that feeling will be infectious.
Maybe you like the openness and relaxation you feel after a yoga class or the sweat and wild release of spinning. You may enjoy seeing your dog run happily in circles as you throw balls at the park.
Whatever movement inspires you, do it and observe the happiness and freedom it brings. Also, take a short walk after having a meal. This not only helps with digestion, but also instantly relieves any heavy feelings.
Talk less, and when you do talk have noble conversation:
When you hang out with your friends and loved ones, learn to love the spaces in the conversation. Listen more to their tone as they share rather than thinking about how you are going to respond.
Pay attention to what happens to your energy when you talk less, and how much happier you feel as you conserve more energy. Plus, you will love the simple intimacy of your relationships as you increase presence and heart-centered listening, freeing yourself of complications and unwanted dramas.
Failure is inevitable:
When something goes awry, or you fail at something don’t wallow in self-pity. People who are happy accept their failures as a learning experience and move on. You can have a million failures; all you need is one great success moment. Mathematically speaking it’s statistically impossible to have all failures, you will eventually hit upon success, wallowing in self-pity just make the failures last longer.
Get 10 minutes of sun a day:
With sunscreen, there are benefits to getting sun. Well-documented research shows there is a relationship between low vitamin D levels and poor health, such as frail bones, multiple sclerosis, and prostate cancer. We need vitamin D!
Also, light hitting your skin, not just your eyes, helps reverse seasonal affective disorder. Here comes the sun! Let the sunshine in!
Appreciate what/who you have:
Don’t disregard the great things you currently have in life. Take a few seconds each day to think about the wonderful things, people, children, pets that are part of your life. These few seconds will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will often change your outlook on bad days.
Find the nature that surrounds you—really see it. Observe yourself as you witness nature and appreciate its growth and timing.
If you feel like things are going too slow, too fast, or you aren’t really sure of where you are going, remember there is a natural timing for everything, and all the roads are taking you to the right place at the right time.
Ask yourself, “How can I compare nature’s experience to my life? How am I just like the wild flower that is growing on the path?”
Our biggest secret to Happiness…
Maintaining your health is one of the greatest ways to achieve happiness. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise, such as yoga, walking running and a myriad of other activities have all been proven to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness.
Know the simple truth:
With enthusiasm and confidence, state what you know to be true about your authentic self. Ask yourself, “What is true about me right now in this moment?”
For example, I am enough, I am worthy, I am good, I am loved, I have what I need, or I am a success.
Keeping your focus on the simplest things offers an immediate experience of abundant joy. May you embrace simplicity in your daily life filled with lightness, movement, and sunshine!
Life is full of so many wonderful people, places, and things. There will always be challenges and roadblocks to overcome. Choosing to focus on being happy and appreciating the things that are great in your life will provide you the necessary tools, and confidence to overcome the challenges and roadblocks you are facing, or will soon face.Google+ image
